Peter Hawes
Head of Operations
Peter Hawes serves as Director of Operations at Tri Tool Technologies, overseeing all manufacturing operations including the CNC machine shop, grinding, assembly, maintenance, quality, purchasing, production planning, shipping and receiving, and rentals.
Peter joined Tri Tool in November 2025 and brings more than 35 years of manufacturing experience to the role, having started as a journeyman machinist and risen through lead and supervisory roles into senior operations leadership. His expertise spans CNC machining, CAD, shop layout, tooling, and ERP/MRP implementation. He has led multi-site IQMS rollouts and facility relocations across automotive, medical device, and industrial production environments.
Before Tri Tool, Peter held Vice President of Operations roles at Pre Plastics Inc. and Springboard Manufacturing. Earlier in his career, he served as Lead Machinist Foreman at PASCO Scientific, where he ran apprentice training and shop optimization. He holds a Business Degree from California State University as well as a Metals Technology and Materials Management from Sierra College, along with Machinist and Welding certifications, the APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) credential and is Lean/Six Sigma certified.
Outside of work, Peter restores classic cars and currently shows the #1 AKC champion Rottweiler in the United States.
