Configurable Elliptical Manway Solutions
The Tri-Tool elliptical manway lathe is designed specifically for machining the sealing surface inside the vessel or tank, providing an ideal surface for gasket installation. Designed for field-machining professionals, these systems are driven pneumatically and deliver the required finish exactly where it matters most.
Systems can be configured to handle:
- Operation of the machine from outside the vessel or inside (if feasible, this can be significantly faster due to ease of operation and verification of surface quality)
- Inner diameter tracking or template tracking for a uniform surface regardless of the roughness of the sides of the opening
- Adjustable feed and depth controls to machine either a 125 or 250 RMS phonographic/record finish
- One manway diameter or set-up for multiple diameters from 12”x16” through 18”x22”
- Sealing surfaces from 1” through 2” on the inside of the vessel
- Tooling for stainless, carbon steel or exotic alloys
