Derek Klescewski
Head of Accounting and Finance
Derek Klescewski serves as Head of Accounting and Finance at Tri Tool Technologies, overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, treasury, and tax/audit compliance. He partners with the CEO and SeniorLeadershipTeam on capital planning and strategic investment decisions.
Derek has been with Tri Tool for over 12 years and brings more than 17 years of total industry experience, with expertise in manufacturing finance, job and project costing, and multi-entity accounting. His contributions include designing and implementing internal control frameworks, building comprehensive budget models, and partnering with executive leadership to evaluate strategic investments and drive long-term financial planning.
Derek is a Certified Public Accountant. Before joining Tri Tool, he held roles at Lautze & Lautze CPAs (now CBIZ) and PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he developed a strong technical foundation in audit and financial reporting across manufacturing and not-for-profit sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State University - Sacramento.
Outside of work, Derek can be found coaching his sons' baseball teams or working on his classic car restoration project, with the occasional round of golf thrown - though he's a better coach than he is a golfer.
