The Socket Weld Removal/Sever-Bevel Kit for 1/2" to 2 1/2" pipe sizes incorporates a Model 601SB and a Model 602.5SB Clamshell. For socket weld removal operations, a clamshell is mounted to the line pipe with the tool bit positioned over the seal weld, the auto-feed tool module then feeds the socket weld removal tool bit radially down to the surface of the pipe. The socket weld tool bits and tool modules also allow seal weld cutting between pipe and bulkheads. The clamshells can also be configured for sever/bevel operations.
