The company...

In the spring of 2007, Tri Tool Inc. acquired a 128,000 square foot facility at 3041 Sunrise Bldg. This steel-roofed concrete and brick building built in 1988 is almost two and a half times bigger than the White House in Washington D.C. Approximately 150,000 bricks cover the insulated cinderblock walls. Over 105,000 square feet are now dedicated to manufacturing and production; an area large enough to park three of the new Boeing 878 Dreamliner wide-body passenger jets. The remainder of the building provides professional offices for engineering, production planning, research and development, administration, and sales. The 11.0 acres of land acquired with the building are zoned for heavy industrial and will provide room for future expansion of our manufacturing activities.

Thousands of tubes and pipes are welded around the world every day. The increasing use of automatic orbital tube and pipe welding equipment has made weld end preparation more important than ever before. Whether for faster weld-cycle time, better accuracy, increased unit production, or reduced maintenance time, people in a wide variety of industries rely on Tri Tool to make their welding results more consistent and cost effective. For complete ID mounted end preparation of open-ended pipe, the rugged 200 Series BevelMaster. this series, built for versatility, functionality, and ease of use, can perform flange facing and can be configured for specialized mounting with optional accessories.

Widely used by fossil fuel and nuclear power generators, petroleum producers and refineries, and other processing plants, Tri Tool’s 600 Series Clamshells accomplish accurate in-line severing and weld end preparation by having the ability to split and mount around the outside diameter of a pipe. The lathe can simultaneously perform a wide range of severing and beveling operations. Two styles of OD mounting, split-frame lathes are available. The powerful 600SB Series lathes are designed for high precision, heavy-duty use. In situations where portability is a primary concern, the newer 600RBL Series features lighter weight and requires lower input torque. The 600 SB and RBL machines are available in a variety of sizes, and provide an extremely versatile frame for custom tooling whenever OD mounting is desirable. Both series can be fitted with optional tool modules for counterboring applications and offer accessories to compensate for out-of-round pipe and wall thickness variations.

Weld preparation performed in the construction and maintenance of these high purity systems must meet stringent contamination and dimensional specifications. For precise weld preparation of thin-wall tube and pipe, Tri Tool offers the 300 Series Tube Squarers and 500 Series SeverMaster™. The OD clamping 300 Series will square and bevel tube without damaging the tube’s electropolished surfaces. The OD mounting 500 Series will sever and face tube or pipe quickly and without distortion. Both series are perfect companions for autogenous welding equipment and ensure accurate, repeatable, precision welds. Advanced mechanical design and a primary commitment to satisfy the requirements of the high purity tubing industry has resulted in the development and production of Tri Tool® machinery which offers unprecedented levels of productivity, flexibility, and ease of use.
